I’m a living ABBA lyric.
I danced before I could walk, and sang before I could talk. So it didn’t totally surprise me in around 2014 when I received messages from three different friends congratulating me on my big acting break in Brooklyn 99, when they were actually referring to Melissa Fumero (I do love her, and our eyebrow mannerisms are scarily similar). I initially wanted to act - and I think I’d happily try it again in the future - but when I walked on my first set I immediately realised I wanted to tell stories from behind the camera.
Since that realization, I’ve worked as a copywriter, director, and producer of all types of branded content and commercial work. And now, as I graduate from Chapman University’s Film Production MFA programme with an emphasis in Directing and Writing, I want to continue my creative journey between the commercial, PR and narrative worlds.
